72 hours weather outlook


A tropical wave will continue to affect the islands tonight. From 6a.m to 6.p.m today, Saturday 19th, 8mm of rainfall was recorded at the Argyle International Airport. Scattered moderate to heavy showers with a slight chance of thunderstorm activity are forecast as the night continues into early Sunday morning. Model guidance is indicating approximately 20mm of rainfall during the next 24 hours period, with higher amounts possible in mountainous areas. Take note that the soils are already saturated, and some areas are in a state of vulnerability. Therefore, residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and near rivers and streams are asked to exercise caution.
