72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook 2nd May 2021(6pm)

Some scattered showers will continue tonight with isolated activity possible along Thursday as weak pulses embedded within the wind flow continue to move across SVG. An approaching tropical wave is on course for the Guianas(South America) and a south easterly wind flow would assist with the migration of moisture from that region towards our islands around Friday. The Grenadines will be affected first, with moderate showers and gusty winds forecast to spread towards the mainland shortly after. The chance of thunderstorms is high around Friday afternoon. Model data suggests significant rainfall accumulation is likely across the weekend. Therefore, the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Service will continue to monitor and issue the necessary updates/advisories.
