Weather Outlook - 15th July 2026(6pm)
The Atlantic High-Pressure System is the dominant feature across the area,
maintaining generally fair weather conditions with only brief, isolated showers. In addition, slight Saharan dust haze is present and concentrations could increase from Friday.
Northeasterly winds ranging between 20 to 30 km/h (12 to 19 mph) are expected to gradually increase, peaking near 40 km/h (25 mph) by Saturday. Slight to moderate swells are forecast over the next 48 hours, with swells heights near 1.0 m (3 ft) on the west coast and ranging from 1.5 m (5 ft) to 1.8 m (6 ft) on the east coast of our islands. An increase in swell heights up to 2.2 meters (7.0 feet) is expected by Saturday.
Meanwhile, a tropical wave is located over the far eastern Atlantic, and the National Hurricane Center (NHC) has designated a ten percent (10%) chance of tropical cyclone development over the next 7 days. The Meteorological Services will continue to monitor the progress of this system as it moves west-northwestward across the Atlantic.
