The Western Atlantic High Pressure system is rebuilding across our area; with occasional shearline features bringing scattered showers across our islands, positioned on the south-eastern edge of the Western Atlantic High Pressure System. A weak shearline feature stalling across the Northern Windward Islands could result in scattered showers mainly across mainland St.Vincent overnight.
Moderate to fresh north-easterly breeze transporting cooler air from higher latitudes may also be noticeable. A temporary reduction in wind speeds is possible late Wednesday afternoon. Direction should veer to east-south-easterly during Thursday with some showers converging across the area, returning to easterly by nightfall. Yet another shearline feature should be dipping southward across the islands during Friday night.
Seas are decreasing and slight to moderate (1.0 - 2.0m) swells are expected by Wednesday, rising again on the east coasts to 2.5m by Thursday afternoon.
Barometric readings should range 1016 - 1018mb by Wednesday as the Western Atlantic High Pressure system rebuilds.
No dust concentration is expected across our area over this weekend....JMCD
