Limited moisture converging on the south-western edge of the Atlantic High Pressure, could result in few shallow showers across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) this afternoon. Isolated showers are possible over the weekend due to weak pulses in the wind flow with shallow cloud patches, but dry upper-levels should inhibit any significant shower activity.
Moderate (20 - 30km/h) east north-easterly trades should temporarily back to north-easterly by late Saturday, with speeds increasing to fresh (up to 40km/h) by Tuesday.
Slight to moderate (1.0 – 1.5m) sea swells are across our islands, originating from north on the west and from north-east on east coasts; but expected to be north-easterly by late Saturday across SVG.
Barometric readings should be ranging 1014 - 1016mb across during afternoons and 1016 - 1018mb during mornings for next couple days, rising during Monday to range between 1016mb and 1019mb. There are two High Pressure Systems across the Northern Atlantic Basin, with weak lower pressure centers expected to deepen while pushing north-eastward; causing the Highs to merge across the North-east Atlantic late Saturday. Another low pressure area with an associated cold-front is expected to move off the U.S.A east coast early Sunday.
No significant dust concentrations are expected, but occasional thin dust patches may be noticeable on our horizon over next few days....JMCD
