Upper level clouds and Sahara dust concentration maintains a bleakly skies across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) today. Further south of our area, the tropical wave crossing the Eastern Caribbean Islands is creating very unstable conditions over the twin Island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Some scattered showers can be expected across our area as the next tropical wave and a mid-level trough moves closer to the region with occasional upper level support.
Moderate to fresh (25 – 40 km/h) east north-easterly breeze should continue this afternoon and becoming occasionally strong (up to 50km/h) tonight. A steady strong easterly flow late Tuesday could continue during Wednesday, and veer to south-easterly by nightfall.
Moderate sea conditions are across SVG and sea conditions are expected to become moderate to rough by mid-week (especially on our eastern coasts)… Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal swells, brisk winds and reduced visibility in moderate haze.
Concentrations of Saharan dust of varying intensity continue to reduce visibility across our islands.
