The axis of a relatively dry trough is crossing the island chain and mid level moisture is expected to gradually increase as another tropical wave moves closer. Mid to upper levels should support scattered showers and isolated thunderstorm activity during Friday.
The Atlantic High Pressure is expected to rebuild just north of our area over the weekend. However, lower level moisture converging on its southern edge could spread showers across our islands with support at the upper levels during Saturday and lingering until Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, moderate haze is also expected to approach the islands early Saturday to intermix with showers.
East north-easterly fresh breeze with occasional strong gusts can be expected tonight.
Moderate to fresh (25 - 40 km/h) north-east trades are also expected over the weekend. Moderate (1.5 m - 2.5 m) sea conditions are across our islands with easterly swells and should increase to during the weekend. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution for above normal swells and brisk winds.
