A tropical wave will approach the islands this afternoon to affect late tonight into tomorrow. Model guidance is indicating limited moisture and instability associated with this wave.
Nevertheless, a few scattered showers are likely from this afternoon. On Saturday, a shearline will be in the vicinity generating a few showers across the region. A weak ridge pattern will dominate on Sunday and an improvement in conditions is likely then.
Meanwhile, hurricane Lorenzo is west of the Southernmost Cabo Verde Islands and is forecast to strengthen and to take a northwest turn later today. This hurricane poses no threat to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Generally, winds will be blowing from the east north east (ENE) at 5km/h-20km/h becoming calm on occasions. Slight sea conditions (0.5m -1.2m) are forecast into the weekend, becoming moderate (1.5m) on the east coast around Sunday. In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
