Fair to partly cloudy conditions with brief showers are expected across St Vincent & the Grenadines before a tropical wave announces its presence around Tuesday night, generating cloudy to overcast skies. Some moderate to heavy showers are forecast by Wednesday as its associated low-level moisture crosses the island chain. Models further suggests lingering instability may allow for similar conditions early Thursday especially across the Grenadine islands.
The Atlantic high pressure system will generate moderate to fresh (20km/h to 35km/h) east north easterly trades across the islands over the next 48 hours, becoming east south easterly after the passage of the wave on Wednesday.
Sea conditions will remain moderate in open water with swells peaking at 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.0m on the eastern coasts. Slight to moderate conditions (up to 1.0m - 1.5m) are possible on the western and eastern coasts respectively early Tuesday, but by nightfall, moderate conditions are expected once more.
Haze intrusion across the islands is forecast to thin out late today(Monday), but concentration may increase ahead of the anticipated tropical wave early Tuesday night.
