Atlantic High Pressure System continues to transport Saharan dust, creating hazy conditions with poor visibility and air quality across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG)…Small-craft operators and persons with respiratory concerns should continue to exercise caution for varying visibility and air-quality within haze patches... Scattered showers are likely as surges in the wind-flow push low-level clouds across our islands. Some thinning of dust concentrations and an approaching tropical wave could allow a few showers Monday, with increased showers and thunderstorm activity Tuesday afternoon.
Winds could surge with fresh to occasionally strong (~30 – 50 km/h) east north-easterly trades across SVG tonight and Saturday night, reducing
to moderate (20 - 30 km/h) breeze by Sunday; with varying directions during Sunday and Monday.
Moderate sea-conditions are across our islands and expected to deteriorate Saturday with easterly swells near 2.0 m on western coasts and above 2.5 m on eastern coasts…Small craft-operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for reduced visibility, above normal sea-swells and occasional strong gusts. Swell heights could start falling across SVG Saturday night and slight to moderate (1.2 – 2.0 m) sea-conditions are expected by Sunday evening.
