Moderate to fresh (25km/h-40km/h) east north easterly to easterly trade winds will move across the island chain and low level clouds drifting along these trades are likely to result in a few occasional showers during the next 24 hours as the Atlantic high pressure system remains the dominant feature across the region. Around Saturday, an east south easterly wind flow will allow for some equatorial moisture to move across SVG, increasing the chance of shower activity.
Generally, seas will be moderate in open waters, with swells peaking at 1.5m on the western coasts, and ranging between 2.0- 2.5m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers are asked to exercise caution during this time. A deterioration on the eastern coasts on Saturday is anticipated with a possible peak of 3.0m in open waters. In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
