Light to moderate showers are likely tonight into tomorrow across St. Vincent and the Grenadines as a result of unstable conditions interacting with a favourable mid to upper-level environment. Occasional showers could be expected on Friday, but more significantly, as additional moisture crosses the islands, moderate to heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds and periods of rain are forecast for Saturday. A flash-flood watch is in effect for SVG from 6pm today. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and land-slides, or near rivers and streams should be prepared.

Moderate to fresh(20-35km/h) east north easterly to easterly trades will cross the islands within the next 24 hours, becoming occasionally strong(near 40km/h) for most parts of Saturday. An east south easterly flow should begin by nightfall shifting to easterly by Sunday.

Seas are currently slight, peaking near 1.2m on western coasts and moderate, peaking to 2.0m on eastern coasts. Seas could deteriorate and become generally moderate(1.5m - near 2.5m) around Saturday. Small craft operators and sea bathers would be advised to exercise caution for above normal sea swells and gusty winds. No significant dust haze concentration is expected for this forecast period.
