On the south-western edge of the Atlantic High Pressure System; weak unstable conditions with occasional cloudy skies and a few scattered showers are crossing our islands. Saharan dust concentrations (with dry air) continue to vary and slight hazy conditions tonight could thicken to moderate haze during Sunday creating poor visibility and limiting shower activity. Low-level clouds converging across our area could bring a few showers again late Sunday. Saharan dust concentrations could thin-out to slight haze across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) during Tuesday, allowing weak unstable conditions and a few showers.
Moderate to fresh (25 – 35 km/h) east north-easterly trades with
occasional gusts (40 – 45 km/h) are moving across our islands. Temporary reduction in wind speeds (20 – 30 km/h) may be noticeable during Tuesday.
Slight sea-conditions with north-easterly swells ranging 1.0 m to 1.5 m are on western coasts and moderate sea-conditions with east south-easterly swells ranging 1.5 m to 2.5 m are on eastern coasts of SVG…Small-craft operators should exercise caution for above normal sea-swells, gusty winds and reduced visibility due to haze. Swell heights could gradually start falling Sunday night, with easterly swells across SVG by Monday and swell heights could range 1.0 to 1.5 m across SVG by Tuesday night.
