The low and mid levels of the atmosphere will remain relatively moist today, increasing the chance of scattered showers. A gradual decrease in moisture is forecast as the day progresses. After which, low level clouds moving along the trade winds will bring occasional isolated showers into the weekend, with the showers likely to be moderate but brief in the interior parts of the mainland.

Winds will briefly blow from the east south east (ESE) this morning, but a  predominantly moderate wind flow (20km/h- 30km/h) from the east (E) backing to east north east (ENE) on occasions is anticipated across the islands towards the weekend.

Seas are forecast to remain slight to moderate in open waters up to Saturday, with swells peaking at 1.0m on the western coasts and 2.0m on the eastern coasts. Swells will be mostly easterly. In addition, slight haze intrusion on Thursday and Friday will thin out by Saturday.
