Although a ridge pattern remains dominant, a few isolated pockets of light to moderate showers are likely closer to the morning period as low level cloud patches crosses the islands. Fair to occasionally cloudy skies are likely during Monday and Tuesday but by nightfall(Tuesday), approaching instability increases the chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms heading into Wednesday. On Thursday a mixture of sunshine and a few brief passing showers can be expected.
Occasionally Strong(near 40 km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades will cross the islands within the next 24 hours. Speeds could slightly decrease to fresh(25-35km/h) on Wednesday.
Seas are moderate in open waters with swells peaking near 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.5m on the eastern coasts and rising. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution for above normal sea swells, reduced visibility and occasional gusty winds. Sea conditions could return to slight to moderate (1.2m - 2.0m) by early Wednesday. In addition, haze concentration of varying intensities will persist into Monday, gradual thinning out on Tuesday.
