A film of Saharan dust may create a slight haze across our area during Sunday. By Sunday night, a tropical wave is expected to approach the islands and a few showers with isolated thunderstorms are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) during Monday. A trailing trough could support pockets of moderate/heavy showers and
thunderstorm activity across SVG by Monday night…Be alert; in areas prone to flash-flooding or near rivers and streams. Cloudy skies with light/moderate rain could linger across our islands on Tuesday.
Gentle to moderate (15 – 25 km/h) east south-easterly wind-flow could occasionally decrease to light (near 10 km/h) breeze across our islands. Fresh (near 35 km/h) breeze is expected on Tuesday, with an east north-easterly direction during the night.
Sea-conditions in open water are expected to be slight with easterly swells; near 0.5 m on the west and near 1.0 m on the east of SVG. Gradual rise in swell heights could start late Monday, nearing 1.0 m on the west and 1.5 m on the east of SVG by Tuesday.
