Slight-moderate haze lingers across our area and a few scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms continue across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight. Thereafter, the Atlantic High Pressure System is expected to dominate with fresh to occasionally strong trades across our islands this
weekend. A tropical wave could approach the islands Sunday night, bringing a few scattered showers across SVG on Monday, possibly increasing during the night.
Fresh (35 km/h) trades could become gusty (~45 km/h) at times and temporarily turn easterly during Saturday. Wind-speeds are expected to decrease to a moderate (~25 km/h) easterly breeze during Monday afternoon.
Moderate sea-conditions in open water; are near 1.8 m on the west and 2.5 m on the east of SVG, with easterly swells...Small craft-operators and sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution for reduced visibility, above normal sea-swells and occasional gusty winds…Swells could temporarily retreat (1.2 – 2.0 m) during Sunday.
