Wind speeds are expected to gradually increase across the islands from Monday evening while Saharan dust concentrations are expected to thicken by late night. Unstable conditions could allow for some moderate showers along Tuesday. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert. The chance of showers decreases from mid Wednesday.
Moderate to fresh(20-35km/h) east to east north easterly trades would become strong(near 45km/h) from early Tuesday. Seas are currently moderate in open water with swells peaking up to 1.5m on western coasts and ranging between 2.2m to 2.5m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Seas may be further agitated as wind speeds increase within the next few days.
