A ridge pattern will be the main catalyst behind the weather conditions expected across SVG during the next few days. Only shallow patches of moisture are forecast in our area up to Sunday, meaning sparse and brief intermittent shower activity may be expected. Meanwhile, cool night temperatures are expected to persist across the Eastern Caribbean.
Moderate to fresh(20-35km/h) east north easterly trades will cross the islands within the next 48 hours before increasing(near 40km/h) on Sunday. As a result, sea conditions will deteriorate within the upcoming days as winds agitate the ocean's surface. Seas are generally moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coats and up to 2.3m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze is expected to linger across the islands within this forecast period.
