Weak perturbations within the south western periphery of the Atlantic high pressure system is the catalyst behind occasional cloudy skies and light to moderate scattered showers across the island chain. Although this pattern is expected to persist over the next few days, the chance of showers decreases on Friday.
Moderate to fresh(25-35 km/k) easterly trades will cross the islands within the next 24 hours, before shifting to east north easterly from Friday. Strong(near40km/h) trades should return from late Saturday. Sea are moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and up to 2.5m on eastern coasts. These conditions may further deteriorate from late Saturday. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds. Saharan dust haze concentrations will continue to thin out across the islands within the next 24 hours but could return by late Sunday.
