A surface trough will continue to generate occasionally cloudy skies and trigger some light to moderate showers across SVG during Sunday night into Monday. The Atlantic high pressure system will begin to rebuild from Monday allowing for relatively fair conditions with brief isolated shower activity. A weak shearline is expected to edge closer to the islands around late Wednesday.
Breezy conditions are expected up to midweek. Strong(near 40km/h) east north easterly trades would become easterly on Monday. Speeds should slightly decrease(25-35km/h) from Tuesday and maintain a north easterly direction. Seas are currently moderate with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and up to 2.5m on eastern coasts. Due the aforementioned forecasted wind speeds, no significant improvements for sea conditions are expected within this forecast period. Therefore, small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds. In addition, slight Saharan dust concentrations should gradually thin out across the islands within the next few days.
