Weak perturbations within the flow of the north easterly trade winds will allow for occasional light to moderate showers within the next few days as the Atlantic high pressure system continues to dominate the weather pattern across SVG. These showers are expected to be abrupt and brief in nature. In addition, cool evening and night temperatures can also be expected.
Light and gentle(<20 km/h) easterly to east north easterly trades will cross the islands today, slightly increasing over the next few days before becoming occasionally strong(near 40 km/h) by Saturday. Seas are currently slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and ranging between 1.5m to 2.0m on eastern coasts. Seas could begin to deteriorate as early as Friday as wind speeds increase. Small craft operators and sea bathers may be advised to exercise caution during this time for above normal sea swells. Slight Saharan dust haze concentrations could cross our islands around late Friday
