72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 28th November 2024 (12 Noon)

Unstable conditions are across our islands, generating cloudy skies and triggering pockets of moderate showers. This increases the risk of land slippage and flash flooding. Be prepared. Showers could intensify into Friday, however, some marginal improvement is likely by evening. Relatively fair conditions are forecast as Saturday progresses while occasional cloudy skies are anticipated on Sunday with brief showers.

Moderate to fresh (25-30km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades are crossing our islands with gusts near showers within the next 24 hours. Seas will remain moderate in open water with northerly swells peaking up to 1.5m on western coasts and near 2.0m on eastern coasts. Marine users should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and breaking wave action and rip currents near the shoreline.  Varying Saharan dust haze concentrations will begin to cross our islands from Friday.
