Shower activity has been limited across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) due to pockets of dry air. A few showers are likely across SVG by this afternoon, as weak unstable conditions (associated with a weak tropical wave) cross the islands. Meanwhile, varying concentrations of Saharan dust could create varying levels of haziness across our area over the next few days and possibly thicken with poor visibility at times...Be Alert!
Gentle-moderate (15 - 25km/h) breeze across our islands could vary in direction, between east north-east and east south-east in some locations. Wind speeds are expected to gradually increase, becoming fresh (30 - 35km/h) by Thursday evening.
Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, occasionally appearing smooth west of our islands with swells less than 0.5m and ranging 1.0m - 1.5m east of our islands… Small-craft operators should exercise caution due to occasional reduction in visibility (poor) with moderate dust-haze, especially between Monday night and Tuesday night.
