72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 25th November 2024 (12 Noon)

Breezy conditions can be expected across our islands due to an existing tight pressure gradient across the Eastern Caribbean. In addition, occasional cloudy skies would trigger intermittent showers as low level moisture migrates to our islands on Tuesday. The potential for moderate showers and thunderstorm activity and  increases along Wednesday and Thursday during the mid-afternoon period. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert.

Moderate to fresh (25-35km/h) east north easterly trades are crossing our islands. A slight decrease (25-30km/h) is expected from Tuesday and shift to easterly to east south easterly. Seas are currently moderate in open water with swells peaking up to 1.5m on western coasts and near 2.5m on eastern coasts. Marine users should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and breaking wave action and rip currents near the shoreline.  No significant Saharan dust haze concentrations are anticipated during this forecast period.
