72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 2nd October 2020 (6pm)

A flash-flood watch is in effect for St. Vincent & the Grenadines from 4 pm today until 12 Noon 3rd October 2020. Unstable conditions due to the passage of a tropical wave has generated overcast skies and triggered scattered showers across the islands over the past 24 hours. These conditions, accompanied by additional thunderstorm activity are anticipated tonight into tomorrow with accumulations of 50 mm (2 inches) very likely with higher amounts possible in mountainous areas. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and land-slides, or near rivers and streams should remain alert and exercise caution. A gradual improvement to these conditions is anticipated on Saturday afternoon, however, early Sunday, deteriorating conditions may resurface across the Grenadines. By Monday, dust concentrations should thin out across the islands.
