72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook- 24th August 2020 (6pm)

As shallow patches of moisture approach the island chain, a favourable upper level environment exists and this may result in a few light and at times moderate showers across St. Vincent & the Grenadines heading into Tuesday. In addition, there is also potential for isolated thunderstorms to develop. During Tuesday, similar conditions are likely as a south easterly flow would enable the transfer of equatorial moisture to the islands. A tropical wave should begin to affect SVG by Wednesday evening. Therefore, occasional scattered showers and thunderstorm activity are possible into Thursday. A shearline associated with the wave could trigger a few showers firstly across the mainland during the afternoon, before spreading to the Grenadines by nightfall.
