Weather Outlook- 21st August 2020 (6pm)

At 5 pm, The centre of Tropical Storm Laura  was located near 17.1N, 61.2W or 40 miles(65 km) east of Antigua. Instability associated with the system could influence the weather pattern across SVG over the next 24 hours. A flash flood watch is in effect until 12 noon tomorrow as "Laura" has the potential to generate moderate to heavy showers in significant amounts and thunderstorm activity across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. In addition, this system will generate wind speeds between 12 - 28 mph (20 - 45km/h) with higher gusts near showers. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should exercise caution. Models suggest a few early morning showers are likely across Sunday and Monday as weak weak shearlines develop.
