72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook- 18th August 2020 (6pm)

Generally cloudy skies are expected into Wednesday as moisture trails behind the tropical wave that is to the west of the islands. The possibility exists for scattered showers, occasionally breezy conditions and a low chance of isolated thunderstorms across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines tonight into tomorrow. A southward migration of the ITCZ could bring showers across the Grenadines tomorrow. On Thursday fair to occasionally cloudy conditions are anticipated whereas a shearline associated with an approaching tropical wave could trigger some showers across the islands early Friday. Instability associated with a tropical disturbance just behind the tropical wave should allow for some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon period although the feature is projected to pass further north of the chain.
