Weather Outlook 8th July 2020 (6 pm)

The Atlantic High Pressure System is dominant with moderate/fresh trades pushing lower-level clouds across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), which could bring a few showers. Saharan dust concentrations with varying intensity are also being transported within the wind-flow and could create moderate to occasionally thick haze across our islands. However, moisture associated with a tropical wave could bring some showers with thunderstorm activity across SVG by Saturday afternoon into the night. Moderate to fresh (~25 – 40 km/h) east north-easterly trades are expected to turn easterly during Saturday, as the tropical wave crosses the islands, decreasing to moderate south-easterly breeze late Saturday.
