72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook 3rd May 2020 (6 pm)

A plume of Saharan dust, transported by the wind-flow of the Atlantic High Pressure System, is reducing visibility with moderate haze across our area. Temporary thinning in dust concentrations could allow a few showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight into Monday morning, as a weak pulse/instability crosses our islands. Hazy conditions of varying intensity can be expected again, by late Monday. 

Moderate (20 – 30 km/h) easterly breeze could occasionally increase to fresh (30 - 40 km/h) and turn east south-easterly behind pulses.       

Moderate sea conditions are expected across our islands, easterly swells (near 1.5 m) on west coasts and northerly swells (near 2.5 m) on east
