72 Hours Outlook

Fair to partly cloudy conditions are anticipated within the next 24 hours. A weak shearline should generate occasionally cloudy skies on Wednesday and increase the potential for a few isolated showers. On Thursday, the Atlantic high pressure system should once again become dominant.

Gentle to moderate (15-25km/h) easterly to east south easterly trades will cross the islands within the next 24 hours. A slight increase (~20-30km/h) is expected on Wednesday with a shift in direction to east north easterly. Speeds should further increase (~25-35km/h) on Thursday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking up to 1.0 m on western coasts and ranging between 1.5m to 2.0m on eastern coasts. Swell heights should begin to rise from Wednesday and sea conditions should become generally moderate. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution. In addition, no significant dust haze intrusion is anticipated during this forecast period.
