72 Hours Outlook

A few showers are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) by this evening, as low-level cloud patches converge across our islands. A tropical wave could approach the islands during Saturday, increasing the chance of showers across SVG with isolated thunderstorms possible overnight. Unstable conditions could maintain cloudy skies with showers during Sunday and increase by night-fall with moderate-heavy showers and thunderstorm activity...Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should be alert. Meanwhile, varying concentrations of Saharan dust could create of haziness across our area at times and possibly thicken late Friday with poor visibility.

Gentle-moderate (15 - 25km/h) breeze across our islands could vary in direction, between east north-east and east south-east in some locations. Wind speeds could occasionally increase with fresh (~30km/h) breeze at times.

Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells ranging 0.5m - 1.0m west of our islands and 1.0m - 1.5m east of our islands.
