72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 23rd February 2024 (6pm)

A weak low-level trough across the islands maintains occasional cloud patches with a few showers across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). A plume of Saharan dust is approaching our area and concentrations could vary across SVG during the weekend, with moderate/thick-haze overnight Saturday...Be Alert!

Gentle-moderate (15 - 25km/h) winds continue across our islands tonight and vary in direction from east north-east to east south-east. Wind speeds gradually increase, becoming moderate-occasionally fresh (20 - 30km/h) over the weekend.

Sea conditions are currently slight (0.5m - 1.2m)  in open water, gradually rising to near 1.0m on western coasts and 1.5m on eastern coasts, by early Saturday. Small craft operators should exercise caution for reducing/poor visibility in moderate/thick-haze across our islands, especially during Saturday night.
