72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 26th October 2023 (6pm)

A trough system is across the island chain, with increased moisture levels and unstable conditions supporting periods of rain, occasional moderate-heavy showers and thunderstorm activity across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Rainfall accumulations and soil saturation could vary across our islands and the Flash-Flood Watch (issued at 6am today) for St. Vincent and the Grenadines may be upgraded to a flash-flood warning, if conditions warrant…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should continue to exercise extreme caution….Be Prepared!

Gentle-moderate (15 - 25km/h) winds vary in direction, becoming gusty 30km/h at times and possibly nearing strong (35 - 40km/h) gusts during Sunday, before decreasing by evening.

Marine conditions are slight to moderate in open water, ranging 1.0m - 2.5m across SVG.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will continue to monitor the Tropical Atlantic Ocean and issue updates/advisories as necessary.

Forecaster: Joan Mc Donald
