Today, expect cloudy to overcast skies to be accompanied by pockets of light to moderate showers and possible periods of light rain as moisture ahead of a trough interacts with our island chain. Due to the likelihood of flash-flooding, residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should remain alert. A favourable upper-level environment is also in place and this increases the potential for rainfall and possible thunderstorm activity to peak by midweek across the Southern Windward Islands including SVG. The SVG Meteorological Service will continue to monitor and provide the necessary updates.
