The Atlantic High Pressure System is the dominant feature bringing occasional brisk winds and lower level cloud patches with isolated brief showers. Moisture associated with the deepening area of low pressure at mid- levels (700mb level) near northern Venezuela, is confined to South American continent and areas south of Grenada. Isolated showers could possibly move across the southern Windward
Islands, (including St.Vincent and the Grenadines) over next few days.
East north-easterly fresh breeze between 30 - 40km/h can be expected, with directions occasionally varying. Wind speeds are expected to increase late Monday, with occasional strong (40 - 50km/h) breeze and higher gusts (near 55km/h) during Tuesday.
Moderate sea conditions with wave heights ranging 1.2 - 1.8m on the west and 1.5 – 2.5m on the east this weekend. A slight reduction in wave heights is possible late Sunday before increasing again during Monday…. Mariners should exercise caution for above normal swells and brisk winds.
Barometric readings are fluctuating this weekend as the High Pressure center shifts eastward and weakens, with two Low Pressure areas moving off the North American coast.
Slight haze on our horizon due to patches of dust concentrations of varying intensity, could occasionally reduce visibility.
