The Atlantic High pressure system will remain the dominant feature across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) during the next 48 hours pumping moderate to fresh trade winds (25km/h to 40km/h) across the islands. In addition, apart from a few sporadic showers, mostly fair conditions are anticipated within this period.
After which, an increase in cloud cover is forecast around Monday night as instability approaches the islands. A few showers are forecast for Tuesday, with further shower activity on Wednesday. Wind speeds are likely to reduce during this time with a generally moderate flow (20km/h-30km/h).
Currently, small craft operators and sea bathers are asked to exercise caution as moderate sea conditions persist across SVG. Sea conditions will return slight to moderate from late Sunday into Monday with swells peaking at 1.2m on the western coasts and 2.0m on the eastern coast. In addition, haze intrusion on Sunday is likely to result in a reduction in visibility.
