A few light to moderate occasional showers are likely for the remainder of Sunday, however the chance decreases closer to night fall. Again Monday night into Tuesday, moderate showers are anticipated. Residents and motorists should remain alert. Improved conditions are expected during midweek. Strong(30-40km/h) east north easterly trades are crossing the islands today but these are expected to decrease to moderate/fresh(20-35km/h) on Monday and Tuesday. Wind speeds should further decrease to gentle(15-20km/h) from midweek.
Currently, moderate sea conditions are being experienced as a result of strong wind speeds. Swells are peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and ranging between 2.0m to 2.5m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution for above normal sea swells and gusty winds. Sea conditions could start improving(ranging between 1.2m to 1.8m) from late Monday. Varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze will continue to cross the islands tonight, thinning out by early Tuesday.
