A ridge pattern remains the dominant feature, however, there is a medium chance of isolated showers across SVG tonight(Saturday)into early Sunday. Breezy conditions will persist across the forecast period while slight Saharan dust haze is expected to persist until late Sunday. Early morning showers are also likely on Monday and intermittent showers are anticipated on Tuesday.
Strong(near 40km/h)north easterly to easterly trades will cross the islands within the next 24 hours with possible higher gusts near elevated terrain. Wind speeds are forecast to become moderate/fresh(25-35km/h) from Monday. Consequently, seas are currently moderate to rough in open water with swells peaking near 1.5m on western coasts and up to 3.0m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusty winds.
