72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 1st May 2024(12 Noon)

The lower levels across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will be marginally moist today, increasing on Thursday into Friday, lingering into Saturday. Mid to upper levels will also be moist and an upper level jet will be present during this forecast period. Most cloudy skies with a high chance of scattered showers are therefore forecast for SVG during the next 72 hours. Model guidance is indicating  2 mm-5 mm by tonight, 5 mm-10 mm by Thursday night, 2 mm-5 mm by Friday night. Isolated showers are expected on Saturday.

Winds will be southerly at 15km/h -30km/h, with higher gust. Seas are  moderate in open waters with northerly swells ranging between 1.5m-2.0m. Small craft operators and sea-bathers are asked to exercise caution for above normal northerly swells Wednesday into Thursday morning. Slight Saharan dust haze on Saturday.
