72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 18th January 2024 (12 noon)

Occasional isolated showers may interrupt fair conditions for the remainder of Thursday as unstable conditions linger across the SVG. The chance of showers increases as Friday progresses and into early Saturday. On Sunday, a ridge pattern should dominate the weather conditions across the islands allowing for more pleasant conditions.

Strong (~40km/h) east north easterly to easterly trades are crossing the islands, becoming east south easterly (ESE) from Friday afternoon. Winds will become easterly from late afternoon Sunday. Seas will remain moderate, possibly rough at times, in open waters with swells peaking at 1.8m on the western coasts and ranging between 2.5m – 3.0m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should be prepared for above normal sea swells. No significant haze intrusion is forecast.
