72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 18th December 2023 (12 noon)

The synoptic pattern remains largely unchanged for the afternoon, and a flash-flood watch remains in effect. Showers should decrease into Monday night. By Tuesday, expect moderate scattered showers across SVG again, dissipating around Tuesday night. On Wednesday, showers are forecast to be mostly over the Grenadines, gradually building to the mainland during the morning, decreasing by afternoon into the night. Scattered showers are anticipated on Thursday as the atmosphere remains unstable across SVG.

Winds will blow from the east north east (ENE) at approximately 20km/h-30km/h, becoming gusty near showers. Seas will be generally moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 1.0m-1.5m on the western coasts and 2.4m on the eastern coasts. Haze intrusion likely from Wednesday.
