72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 16th December 2023(12 Noon)

A favourable upper level atmosphere will support cloudy skies, showers of varying intensities and possible isolated thunderstorms across SVG for the remainder of Saturday. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should exercise caution. Some marginal improvement is expected on Sunday, however a weak shearline could see additional moderate showers during Monday.

Moderate to fresh (20-30 km/h) east north easterly to north easterly trades will cross the islands, occasionally increasing near showers. Wind speeds could slightly decrease (15-25km/h) during the upcoming days. Seas are moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 1.0m-1.5m on the western coasts and 2.0m-2.5m on the eastern coasts. Marine users should exercise caution. Seas could improve around Tuesday. No significant haze intrusion is forecast.
