72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 24th January 2024 (12 noon)

The Atlantic high pressure system will remain dominant within the next 48 hours and the chance of showers decreases on Thursday and Friday. Around late Friday, unstable conditions should begin to affect the islands, resulting in scattered moderate showers along Saturday.

Fresh to strong (~30-40km/h) north easterly trades are crossing the islands with occasional gusts. Wind speeds should slightly decrease (~25-35km/h) from Friday. In addition, seas should remain moderate to rough within the next 48 hours. Only vessels capable of withstanding swells of these magnitudes should venture out. Sea bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal swells. Sea conditions may become generally moderate on Saturday. No significant haze intrusion is forecast.
