72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - December 9th 2023(12 noon)

Showers are forecast for this evening into tonight, as instability lingers from a trough system. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams are asked to exercise caution. There should be a decrease in cloud cover with scattered showers for the next few days, with model guidance indicating roughly 10mm/per day. Slightly higher amounts could take place across the Southern Grenadines.

East north easterly (ENE) winds can vary, ranging between 20km/h-40km/h allowing for breezy conditions at times, decreasing in speed ~ 15km/h-30km/h around Monday night/Tuesday. Seas will be moderate in open waters with swells ranging between 1.5m-2.0m on the western coasts and 2.0m- 2.5m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for above-normal sea swells. No significant haze intrusion is forecast.
