72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 4th December 2023(6am)

The Atlantic high pressure system will remain the dominant feature within the next 24-36 hours. By late Wednesday a low level trough system could instigate showers across our islands. This trough is also expected to affect the islands on Thursday.

Moderate to fresh (20-35km/h) easterly trades are crossing our islands. Wind direction should shift to east north easterly from Wednesday and decrease (25km/h) from Thursday. Seas are moderate (1.5m to 2.4m) in open water but swell heights should begin to fall late Wednesday. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. There will be no significant dust haze concentrations during this forecast period.
