72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 1st December 2023 (6pm)

On the southern edge of the Atlantic High Pressure System, patches of low-level clouds within a slightly cooler air mass could converge across our islands this weekend. Light rain and a few moderate showers are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight, possibly increasing Saturday night. Isolated thunderstorms can be expected during Monday. Good visibility is expected throughout the weekend, with a film of haze noticeable by Monday.

Moderate-occasionally fresh (20 - 30km/h) north-easterly trades are crossing our islands, and wind directions temporarily turn east south-easterly during Saturday. Wind speed could gradually increase (~35 km/h) during Sunday night.

Marine conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells peaking near 1.0m on western coasts and near 1.5m on eastern coasts of SVG. Increased wind-speeds could agitate seas during Monday, causing a rise (1.2m – 2.0m) in swell heights…Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and occasional gusts.
