72 Hours Outlook

Weather Outlook - 27th January 2025(12 Noon)

Cloudy skies will interrupt fair conditions as a band of shallow clouds cross our islands along Monday afternoon triggering a few scattered showers. Fair conditions are anticipated on Tuesday, whereas an increase in cloud cover is expected along Wednesday and Thursday as occasional unstable conditions affect our islands.

Fresh to strong (~30-40km/h) north-easterly to easterly trades are crossing our islands, shifting east south easterly by Tuesday evening. Winds should slightly decrease (25-35 km/h) and become easterly from midweek. Seas are moderate to rough in open water with swells peaking near 1.8m on western coasts and near 2.7m on eastern coasts. A small craft and high surf advisory is in effect for SVG. Only vessels capable of withstanding swells of these magnitudes should venture out. Sea bathers are advised to stay out of the water. Moderate sea conditions could return by late Wednesday. Saharan dust haze concentrations may be noticeable across our area occasionally throughout this forecast period but should increase on Thursday.
